Getting paid
When do I get paid?

Your client pays a deposit upfront before you show up. That money goes into your Solista account right away. After the job is done, you collect the remaining balance. Once you have your bank account connected through Stripe, funds are transferred to you within 1 to 3 business days.

What is the 2% fee?

Solista is completely free to use. We only charge 2% when a client pays you through the app. That fee is deducted automatically so you never have to think about it. On a $200 job, that's $4. Everything else is yours.

What if my client cancels after paying the deposit?

The deposit is yours. Once your client confirms and pays, the deposit is non-refundable unless you decide otherwise. That's the whole point — you are protected from last-minute cancellations. No more losing a day of work for nothing.

What if my client does not pay the deposit?

If the client does not pay within 24 hours, the booking link expires. You can resend it or simply move on. No payment means no confirmed job. Simple as that.

Is my bank account information safe?

Yes. When you connect your bank account, you enter that information directly into Stripe's secure system. Solista never sees your bank account number, routing number, or any of your personal financial details. Stripe is the same payment technology used by Amazon, Shopify, and millions of businesses worldwide.

Clients
Does my client need to download an app?

No. Your client just gets a link from you on WhatsApp, iMessage, or wherever you talk to them. They open it in their browser, see the job details, tap confirm, and pay. No app, no account, nothing to download.

What does my client see when they get the link?

They see a clean page with everything about the job: the date, time, address, exactly what is included, any extras, the total price, and the deposit amount. They confirm what they are agreeing to and pay the deposit. It looks professional and it is clear.

My client is asking to add something during the job. What do I do?

Only what was confirmed in writing is part of the job. If a client asks for something extra mid-job, you can politely say it was not included and offer to add it at an additional cost. You can update the job in the app and send them a new confirmation. No awkward conversations. Everything is in writing.

Managing jobs
How do I change a job after the client confirmed?

You can edit any job from inside the app. If the price changes, you can send your client a new confirmation link so they can approve the update. Any changes need to be agreed before you do the work.

Can I set up recurring jobs for the same client?

Yes. You can duplicate any job to reuse it for the same client. Everything stays the same and you just update the date. You can do this as many times as you want at no extra cost.

How do I collect the balance after the job?

Once the job is done, you mark it as complete in the app and send your client a payment link for the remaining balance. They pay the same way they paid the deposit. No cash, no chasing, no awkward texts.

Is Solista really free?

Yes. Free to download, free to use. You pay nothing unless a client pays you through the app. When that happens, we take 2% to keep the lights on. No monthly fees, no subscriptions, no hidden charges.

How do I get started?

Download the app, create your account, and set up your first job. It takes about 2 minutes. You do not need to connect your bank account until your first client pays. You can try the whole thing before setting up payments.

Do I need to connect my bank account right away?

No. You only need to connect your bank account when you are ready to receive your first payment. We will prompt you at the right moment. The setup takes a few minutes and is handled securely through Stripe.
